By downloading, installing, or using Winnow you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
Winnow is a personal conversation analysis tool designed to help you reflect on your communication patterns and personal growth. Winnow is not a medical device, mental health service, or substitute for professional therapy, counselling, or any other clinical service. The analysis and insights generated by Winnow are for personal reflection purposes only.
You own the conversations and reports you create in Winnow. By uploading audio to Winnow, you grant Michelle Walstra a temporary, limited licence to process that audio for the sole purpose of generating your report. Audio is deleted from our servers immediately after processing is complete.
You agree to use Winnow responsibly and lawfully. In particular:
Winnow provides conversation analysis for personal reflection and communication awareness. The insights generated are not professional advice of any kind — legal, medical, psychological, or otherwise. If you are experiencing a mental health crisis or require professional support, please contact a qualified professional or an appropriate crisis service in your region.
Winnow is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Michelle Walstra shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of Winnow, or for any decisions made based on Winnow's analysis.
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta, Canada. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Alberta.
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of Winnow after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms.
